DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON
On arrival at the Yangon airport, you will be welcomed by
your tour guide and transfer to hotel for check-in.
Depending on your arrival time, having lunch at local
restaurant for delicious, freshly prepared Myanmar cuisine.
This afternoon, enjoy a tour of Yangon's colonial city
centre, with its many cultural delights. Yangon, formerly
known as Rangoon, is a relatively quiet and charming city
with an impressive colonial and spiritual heritage. Travel
past faded colonial buildings, busy street markets, and
glittering temples. End your tour at the magnificent
Shwedagon Pagoda, an important religious sight for the
Burmese people. As the sun sets, watch the colors change on
the 100-meter high zedi which is covered by over 40 tons of
gold leaf. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02: YANGON - HEHO - INLE LAKE
After breakfast, transfer to Yangon Airport for your
flight to Heho. Here you will enjoy a one-hour scenic drive
to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to the lovely Inle Lake.
A private local motorboat will escort you to your luxurious
hotel for check in. Along the way, pass stilted villages,
the leg-rowing Intha fishermen, and floating gardens
anchored to the lake’s bottom with bamboo poles. Check in to
your hotel. The resorted is nestled near the lake’s shores
and its stilted buildings have spectacular views from the
balconies. After freshening up, a private boat will take you
out on the lake to visit Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, which not
only contains dozens of Shan Buddha statues, but also where
the monks have trained the resident cats to jump through
hoops! Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake's main
sanctuary, before returning to the resort.
This evening enjoy a traditional Shan Style dinner at hotel,
served on lacquer plates. Overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 03: Inle Lake – Indein – Inle Lake
After breakfast, excursion a relaxing boat trip along a
small canal to the Pa-oh village of Indein. Explore the area
on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local
school, and wander through the beautiful Alaung Sitthou
area. Alaung Sitthou is filled with picturesque ancient
stupas and has magnificent views of the lake below. On the
return journey, experience traditional Intha cuisine. Stop
at a nearby village for a private lunch at an Intha House in
the Nampan Village. Enjoy a lunch of local dishes as you sit
on cushions around a traditional low table. Return by boat
to the hotel for a relaxing and luxurious afternoon at the
spa. As the sun sets, enjoy a wine tasting experience at the
Inle Princess’ Wine Cave and dinner at the Resort. Overnight
in Inle Lake. |

DAY 04: INLE LAKE - HEHO - BAGAN
After breakfast visit the lake’s villages to learn about
the cottage industries. Visit the weaving village of
Inpawkhone where beautiful textiles are produced from silk
and lotus roots. Continue to a cheroot factory where typical
Burmese cigars are made by hand. Lunch is at your leisure,
but we suggest dining in the middle of the lake at Ann’s
Restaurant. Late this afternoon, check out of your hotel and
transfer to Heho Airport for the flight to Bagan. Overnight
in Bagan.

DAY 05: BAGAN
After breakfast, visit to the colorful Nyaung Oo Market
where dozens of vendors come to sell their fresh produce and
products. The market is at its busiest early in the morning
as the locals come to do their shopping. This is a great
opportunity to observe the daily lifestyle of the friendly
locals. Then continue to the glittering Shwezigon Pagoda, a
prototype of later Myanmar stupas. Next, visit Wetkyi-Inn
Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite jatakas mural
paintings. Continue to the elegant Htilominlo Temple, noted
for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone
decorations. This afternoon, visit the New Bagan area and
one of its many lacquer-ware workshops. Here you can observe
the traditional technique of making these handcrafted
products from start to finish. The process takes incredible
skill and patience and Bagan’s craftsmen are well renowned
for their fantastic lacquer products. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 06: BAGAN – YANGON
Afetr breakfast continue your Bagan sightseeing at Ananda
temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style
temple. Nearby, Ananda Okkyaung is one of the few surviving
brick monasteries from the early Bagan period. Travel by
horse carriage among the temples starting at Ananda and
passing Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan, the
massive Dhammayangyi Temple which is noted for its
remarkable brickwork, and Sulamani. After lunch, you will be
transferred to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon
arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight at in Yangon.

DAY 07: YANGON DEPARTURE
After breakfast, drive to visit Bogyoke Market (formerly
known as Scott Market), known for its colonial architecture
and inner cobblestone streets. If time allows, additional
sightseeing will be provided before transferring to the
airport for your departure flight back to your country.
