DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON

Upon your arrival at Yangon Airport, our representative and or guide will meet you with Welcoming Signage and then escort you to your hotel. On the way to hotel, visit Mindama Hill where the world biggest white marble Buddha Image is situated and also to see the 3 white elephants. Relax time after hotel check-in. Overnight in Yangon.

   

DAY 02: YANGON CITY TOUR ( Breakfast, Lunch) ( Guide )

After breakfast, your Journey begins with a tour through Yangon's colonial-style city center, Mahabandoola Park and City Hall. Visit Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years ago. Lunch will be served at one of the famous restaurant. After lunch visit the magnificent reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi, and after a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall, a 'hamsa-bird-shaped' floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake, then continue to see the Great Shwe Dagon Pagoda built history over 2500 years ago, two merchants brothers Tapussa and Bhallika from Myanmar who offered a gift of Honey cakes. In return, the Buddha personally removed eight hairs from his head and gave these to two brothers for enshrinement in their native town of Okkalapa which is now the City of Yangon. On their return, the two brothers presented the Buddha's hairs to the King of Okkalapa who erected the pagoda and enshrined the eight hairs together with the relics of previous three Buddhas. The original height of the pagoda was 66 feet. From the 14th century onward successive monarchs in Myanmar rebuilt or re-gilded it until Shwedagon reached its present height of 326 feet. It has ten unique different sections, namely, the base, the three terraces called "Pyisayan" the "Khaung Laung" so called because of its bell shaped, the "Baung Yit" with distinct embossed bands, the "Thabeik" (monk's food bowl) the "Kya-lan" an omamental lotus flower, the "Hnget Pyaw-Bu" (Banana Bud) the Hti (Umbrella), the "Hngetmyatna", the flag shape vane which revolves to the direction of wind, and the Seinbu (Diamond bud). The "Hti", the "Hngetmyatna" and the "Seinbu" are decorated en-laid with 3154 gold bells, 79569 diamonds and other precious stones. Its golden dome rises 96 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold leaves. Then, you will have to see the fantastic view of sunset from the pagoda. Complete your first day in Myanmar. Dinner is on your own arrangement. Overnight in Yangon.

   

DAY 03: YANGON - MANDALAY

Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival continue to Amarapura. Visit Mahagandayon Monastery where over a thousand of monks who take their last meal of the day in total silence. Then have a walk on U Bein bridge , over 150 years old and still in use, the longest wooden bridge which cross tne Thaungtaman lake. Proceed to Mandalay . Afternoon visit to the Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddha's Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carving and Atumashi (incomparable) Monastery; Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, a huge image curved out from a single block of marble. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city on Mandalay Hill. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

   

DAY 04: MANDALAY - MINGUN by RV PAUKAN 2007 CRUISE

Morning visit to Mahamuni, live like Buddha image, Gold leaf making workshop; Tapestry workshop; Marble sculptures. Then transfer to jetty.

Check-in Time
The embarkation time is at 12 noon at Gauwein jetty. Welcome Cocktail in the Saloon.

Upstream to Mingun
Cast off time is at 12:30 hrs. Lunch will be served at 13:00. The sailing time is about 2 hrs. Our English speaking manager (or your private guide) will assist the guests during the visit of the Mingun Pagoda Complex.
Overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Dance and Drama performance by the Mandalay Arts School on the sundeck (if available).

   

DAY 05: MINGUN - SAGAING - RIVER VILLAGE by RV PAUKAN 2007 CRUISE

Downstream to Sagaing
Early in the morning cruise downstream. During the 2 hours journey the passengers can admire the natural beauty of the river and the life of its banks while relaxing on the sundeck or just sitting outside their own cabin. Enjoy the sunrise over Sagaing Hill.

Visit Sagaing
After breakfast passengers can go ashore to visit Sagaing with the assistance of our Ship Manager or their own guide.

Downstream to Bagan
The cast off time is at 10.30 hrs. Lunch will be served at 13.00. In the late afternoon we stop at Yandabo, a village specialized in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Cruise all day and moor overnight near a river village.

DAY 06: RIVER VILLAGE  - BAGAN / NYAUNG U by RV PAUKAN 2007 CRUISE

Early in the morning we proceed Downstream to Bagan. After breakfast (if time permits) we visit another typical river village.

Enjoy the sunrise near Bagan. Passengers will disembark at Aye Yar jetty around 9:30 hrs.
Arrive at Bagan and Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Ananda temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; Sulamini temple, the paintings inside believed to be the original and oldest remained in Bagan; Dhamayangyi, a massive temple with a finest brickwork and lacquer ware workshop. To see Manuha Pagoda, Mya Zaydi, Gupyaukgyi Pagoda, late evening enjoy the sunset on top of the Shwesandaw pagoda or Pyatthatgyi temple. Overnight in Bagan.

   

DAY 07: BAGAN – NYAUNG U

After breakfast, you can take balloon ride or go Phwar Saw village where you can learn the natural Bagan city rampart. And then, go Phayarthonesu which is very small but there are mural paintings to learn the three dynasties. After that you can study the pagoda which is built by Tayokepyay king and then visit view tower that you can see the whole Bagan Place. After lunch, visit Nghatpyit Taung in Nyaung U. There are cave existed for 900 years. Then proceed to Lawkananda tooth relic pagoda. After that go back to hotel and overnight in Bagan.

   

DAY 08: BAGAN / NYAUNG U - PINDAYA - INLE LAKE by flight

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Heho. Arrival at Heho airport and drive to PINDAYA, which is located 40 km north of AUNGBAN and noted for its extensive limestone caves and picturesque lake. We will be passing through the Pa O and Danu villages of Pwehla endless fields of dry cultivated mountain rice and potato. Sightseeing includes Pindaya cave; thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrimages over many centuries, paper making and umbrella making home cottage workshops.

Lunch will be served here at local restaurant. In Pindaya, sightseeing, shopping and you will see the Shan people with fair and soft skin. After that, proceed to Nyaung Shwe. On the way, you can see the women doing the agriculture. In Aungban, there is main road to Taunggyi. At Nyaung Shwe, short sightseeing in downtown area. To go hotel at Inle Lake, you have to go jetty and take special chatter boat to your floating hotel. Arrive to hotel in the evening and take a rest. Overnight in Inle.

   

DAY 09: INLE LAKE SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, at the hotel, begins a full day sightseeing by charter boat on Inle lake to one village which turn for 5 day rotation market, floating village of Heya Ywama and weaving, which the highlights are the unique and famous leg– rowering, typical floating hundred colorful market; floating garden and fishing method; Visits to Phaung–daw-Oo pagoda; Ngaphekyaung old temple to see the show of jumping cat. Lunch will be served at the floating restaurant. After lunch Continue visit to Inpawkhon village, Padaung tribes (long neck women) silk weaving village. Return hotel and overnight in Inle.

   

DAY 10: INLE LAKE FREE DAY

You have the full day at leisure. Overnight in Inle.
 

 
   

DAY 11: INLE LAKE - HEHO - THANDWE / NGAPALI BEACH

After breakfast, transfer to Heho where you will take your morning flight to Thandwe. Upon your arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel. Then, relax on the white sandy beach. Overnight in Ngapali.

   

DAY 12: THANDWE / NGAPALI BEACH

Leisure time on the beach. Overnight in Ngapali.
 

 
   

DAY 13: THANDWE / NGAPALI BEACH - YANGON

Free at leisure until your private transfer escorts you to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon your arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel. Overnight Stay in Yangon.

   

DAY 14: YANGON DEPARTURE

After breakfast, we will escort you to the airport for your flight.
